Sarnies Bangkok

Brunch and coffee in a 150-year-old shophouse on Charoen Krung 44.
About Sarnies Bangkok
Sarnies Bangkok is the Bangkok flagship of the Singapore cafe group, set in a building about 150 years old at 101-103 Soi Charoen Krung 44 in Bang Rak, close to the river. The original brick and worn wall textures have been kept. The ground floor is mostly the coffee bar with a few seats, while the upstairs room is calmer and roomier.
The menu covers specialty coffee, bakery items and all-day brunch, with many ingredients sourced in Thailand. Wongnai lists the Iced Coconut Long Black at 160 baht, Flat White at 130 baht, Orange Mocha at 160 baht, the brownie at 165 baht and Avocado Loaded Toast at 400 baht. Wongnai puts it at 251 to 500 baht per person, and some reviewers find it pricey.
The old building gives a date real character, and the upstairs seats suit a slow coffee and cake after a walk along Charoen Krung's galleries. Mornings and brunch are its strongest time according to Tripadvisor reviewers, since service can slow when it is packed. Parking is easiest at Robinson Bangrak, a short walk away.
