Howler Bar & Grill

Bar and grill on Charoen Krung near the CAT Tower pier.
About Howler Bar & Grill
Howler Bar & Grill is a riverside bar and restaurant at CAT Tower Pier, 72 Charoen Krung Road in Bang Rak, on the Chao Phraya directly across from ICONSIAM. It has two parts. An open-air terrace sits on the water, and inside is an air-conditioned sports-bar room with sofas, screens and a pool table. After dark the terrace has soft lighting and views of the river boats and city lights.
The kitchen serves grill and fusion food, including calamari at 290 baht, seared salmon with miso beurre blanc at 490 baht, BBQ pork ribs at 590 baht and a wagyu short rib at 990 baht, plus truffle pizza and salmon ceviche. Drinks include craft and local beers, wine, and a list of signature cocktails such as Charoen Krung 72, Secret of Howler and Butterfly Effect. Wongnai puts spending at about 501 to 1,000 baht per person.
It suits a relaxed date with a view. Reviewers say sunset over the river toward ICONSIAM is the best moment. Live music plays Wednesday to Sunday from 7pm. The bar opens at 5pm, so arrive around then to get a waterfront table, and book ahead if you can. It is more casual than a hotel rooftop, and the indoor room can get loud on big match nights.
