Cielo Sky Bar & Restaurant is on the 46th floor of Sky Walk Residences, a condo tower on Sukhumvit Road between Soi 69 and 71, a few minutes' walk from BTS Phra Khanong. The design mixes Art Deco with 1960s style, and the open-air terrace has sofas and dining tables and a 360-degree view over Bangkok.

The kitchen serves Italian, Thai and Western food. Wongnai members most often recommend the wagyu beef steak, the pork ribs, the ricotta cheese dish and the frozen chocolate mousse, and Ryoii lists a grain-fed rib eye at 900 baht. A travel blog puts cocktails from 250 baht and the Thai mojito at 350. Wongnai rates it as a 1,000-baht-plus restaurant, but Ryoii says most dishes cost 200 to 550 baht.

Nearly half of Wongnai reviews are from couples. At sunset the city turns pink and then lights up, and there is soft music and a breeze. It is quieter and less touristy than the big hotel rooftops. Arrive around 5:30 to 6pm for sunset, and ask for a window or edge table when you book.
