The Jam Factory

Riverside creative complex with a café, bookshop and restaurant.
About The Jam Factory
The Jam Factory is an old factory on the Thonburi side of the river in Khlong San, near Wat Soon Saen Fai pier off Charoen Nakhon Road, converted into a loft-style creative space. Wongnai reviewers describe exposed pipes, a glass kitchen, big old shade trees over the courtyard and several zones: a café and bookshop (Li-bra-ry@Candide), an exhibition space and a restaurant.
Food and drink are mid-priced, around 101 to 250 baht per person on Wongnai. The café is known for its crisp pandan waffles, coffee and tea lattes and cakes, while the restaurant side gets mentions for dishes like soft-shell crab with curry powder and squid in black sauce. Several reviewers say prices run a little high but that the setting makes up for it.
It works well for a slow afternoon date: browse books and design goods, see what is on in the gallery, then sit under the trees with a waffle. Reviewers call it quiet and photogenic, with plenty of art corners. Go on a weekday or earlier in the day, since seats fill up at busy times.
