Cataleya Estate

Garden estate venue in a soi off Punnawithi in Bang Chak.
About Cataleya Estate
Cataleya Estate is a three-storey, European-style house tucked deep inside Soi Punnawithi 33 in Bang Chak, Phra Khanong. It was reworked from the earlier Ittha Boutique into a Mediterranean cafe and restaurant, and it also has boutique hotel rooms. Inside you find Renaissance-inspired rooms, hanging bird-cage decor and outdoor garden seating, and reviewers call it a quiet escape from the city.
The menu runs all day, from breakfast plates and toasted sandwiches like the Soho (฿290) and Parisian (฿325) to pastas such as wild mushroom fettuccine (฿590), desserts and cocktails. Specialty coffee is a big part of the draw, with pour-overs and a spiced Aroma Coffee. Wongnai puts it at ฿101-250 per person for drinks, but a full meal costs more, and some reviewers call it expensive.
It suits an unhurried brunch or a slow evening, since it stays open from 8am until 11pm and serves cocktails as well as coffee. The house looks good in photos, it is pet friendly, and the resident cat and dogs add to the charm. Go on a weekday morning if you want the garden to yourselves.
