About Samyan Mitrtown Sky Garden
The Sky Garden is a landscaped rooftop terrace on the 5th floor of Samyan Mitrtown, the mixed-use mall at the Rama IV and Phaya Thai road junction, next to Chulalongkorn University. It has lawns, trees and seating with open views across the Sam Yan and Silom skyline.
It is free to walk up and hang out. People come to stroll, sit on the grass, take photos and watch the sky change over the towers. The mall below has plenty of cheap and mid-range places to eat, including a 24-hour zone, so you can grab food before or after.
It is an easy, low-cost date: take the MRT to Sam Yan, eat in the mall, then head up for sunset and the city lights. Late afternoon to early evening is the nicest time, as midday can be hot.
