Chatuchak Park

Large park next to the weekend market.
About Chatuchak Park
Chatuchak Park is a large public park in Chatuchak district, in north Bangkok. It sits beside the Chatuchak Weekend Market and the MRT Chatuchak Park and BTS Mo Chit stations. It has open lawns, shady trees and a central lake with bridges, and it joins up with Queen Sirikit Park and Rot Fai Park to form one big green area.
Most people come to walk, jog, sit by the lake or bring a picnic. Entry is free. The park is a short walk from the weekend market, so it is easy to shop and eat snacks at the market and then come here to rest.
It suits a relaxed, low-cost date: a slow walk around the lake, a picnic on the grass, then the market or dinner nearby. The best time is early morning or late afternoon, when it is cooler and the light is soft. Weekends are busiest because of the market next door.
