JODD FAIRS DanNeramit

Night market at the old Dan Neramit castle site.
About JODD FAIRS DanNeramit
JODD FAIRS DanNeramit was a large night market on Phahonyothin Road in Chatuchak, on the former site of the Magic Land (Dan Neramit) theme park, about a 5 to 6 minute walk from BTS Ha Yaek Lat Phrao. It covered about 33 rai, with a fairytale-style castle at the entrance, lawns, an artificial pond and plenty of open space. It was renamed Train Night Market DanNeramit in April 2024.
Visitors came for dozens of street food stalls, open-air bars with live music, clothing and accessory stalls and photos in front of the castle. Prices were typical night market level, and reviewers noted payment was mostly cash or QR. The Nation reported that the market closed in January 2025 after about 21 months because it drew too few foreign visitors.
It was once a spacious, less crowded evening date spot with good photo backdrops. As it is now permanently closed, it should not be suggested. Other Bangkok night markets are better options.
Why it works for a date
- Spacious and less crowded than Rama 9 Jodd Fairs
- Castle and lake made good photo spots
- Clean, with live music bars
Good to be aware of
- Permanently closed since January 2025
- Mostly cash or QR payment, with no ATMs on site
