Terroir's Song Wat Road outlet, a stop on the old town café walk.
About Terroir.BKK Songwat
Terroir.BKK Songwat is a specialty coffee bar in a renovated shophouse at 1218 Song Wat Road, a few doors from Woodbrook. The room is dark and pared back, with bare concrete, exposed beams, metal stools and a few retro armchairs around a central bar. Guests watch the baristas work up close. It is run by Park Tossatep, known as Brew Boy, who worked on coffee farms and in Australian cafés before opening it.
The focus is single-origin coffee on a menu that changes with the beans. Everyday milk coffees start around 80-85 baht, the Terroir Special latte is 105 baht, the filter of the day is about 155 baht, and rare tasting pours such as Panama Geisha cost 250-350 baht. Reviewers praise the clean, balanced cups with fruity notes.
It is a good date for two people who care about coffee: sit at the bar, share a filter flight and ask the baristas about the beans. Afterwards, walk the rest of Song Wat. It closes early, around 5pm, and gets busy on weekends, so a weekday late morning is calmest.
