River City Bangkok

Riverside center for art galleries and antiques.
About River City Bangkok
River City Bangkok is a riverside art and antiques center at 23 Charoen Krung Soi 24 in Talat Noi, Samphanthawong, on the Chao Phraya next to Si Phraya pier. It opened in 1984 and has about 160 shops over four floors. Around 60% of them deal in art and antiques, and the rest sell lifestyle goods or run restaurants. Inside it is calm and air-conditioned, and it is rarely crowded.
You can browse contemporary exhibitions in the RCB Galleria, walk past open studios, and look through dealers selling Asian antiques, furniture and collectibles. The Riverside Auction House holds sales on the first Saturday of each month. Entry is free, though some exhibitions may charge. Riverside restaurants and cafes sit on the ground floor, and dinner cruises leave from the pier.
It suits a slow, air-conditioned art date with river views, and pairs well with a walk around Talat Noi or an evening dinner cruise. Late afternoon works well: see a show, then eat by the river as the light changes. It is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00.
