Koto Tea Space

Japanese tea and matcha bar on Soi Ruam Rudi 2, near BTS Ploenchit.
About Koto Tea Space
Koto Tea Space is a Japanese tea and matcha specialty bar, now at 177/42 Soi Ruam Rudi 2 off Ploenchit Road in Lumphini, Pathum Wan, near BTS Ploenchit. Chope describes a contemporary Japanese interior in earth tones, dark wood and cream walls, with a counter bar of only about five seats, so it feels quiet and personal.
A tea master brews each cup in front of you and recommends teas to suit your taste. The menu covers matcha (usucha and koicha), gyokuro, sencha, hojicha and genmaicha with homemade Japanese sweets, and there are no milk drinks. Single teas start around ฿250, with items like Matcha on the Rock with yokan at ฿400. Multi-course tea experiences cost about ฿990 to ฿1,390 or more per person.
It is a calm, slow date where you sit side by side at the counter, taste rare teas and talk with the tea master. Book the course in advance, since seats are very limited. It is open only in the afternoon, so plan for an early afternoon visit.
