Choch@SongWat is a craft chocolate café at 1192 Song Wat Road in Samphanthawong, inside a renovated old shophouse. It blends into the street so well that Daniel Food Diary says you could walk right past it. Inside it feels warm and classic, and it showcases bean-to-bar chocolate from Thai makers using cacao from provinces such as Lamphun, Chumphon, Nan and Phuket.

You come for chocolate drinks and bars. Single-origin iced or hot chocolate is about ฿155-195, a tasting set is ฿250, and signature drinks like King Thangkwian with manuka honey, Choco Roselle and Sun Kissed (vanilla, caramel, apple) are ฿155-190. There is also chocolate soft serve (฿120), canelés, and bars from ฿180-300. Wongnai lists it at ฿101-250.

It suits a slow, curious date. Staff explain the story behind each chocolate and suggest drinks based on how sweet you like things, so a shared tasting set gives you plenty to talk about. Visit on a weekday afternoon as part of a Song Wat walk. Weekends get busy, sometimes with a DJ and more of a buzz.
