PTT Art Gallery

Art gallery on Phra Athit Road.
About PTT Art Gallery
PTT Art Gallery, also called the Arts Gallery at Ban Chao Phraya, sits at 49 Phra Athit Road in the old town, close to the Chao Phraya River, Phra Sumen Fort and Santichaiprakarn Park. It fills a restored neoclassical mansion built for Prince Sathittamrongsawas and later home to Italian architect Mario Tamagno. PTT funded the restoration and opened it as a public art space.
Inside, two bright, air-conditioned floors hold rotating shows of Thai painting, sculpture, photography and digital work, often from PTT's annual art competition. Exhibitions change every month or two. Entry is free, catalogs have been handed out free, and a small Cafe Amazon for Chance in the garden is staffed by hearing-impaired baristas.
It makes an easy, low-cost first stop for a Phra Athit afternoon: look at art in a cool, quiet old house, have a coffee in the sculpture garden, then walk to Santichaiprakarn Park for the river at sunset. Go on a weekday afternoon, and check which day it is closed before you go.
