Piccolo Vicolo is a small café hidden down an alley off Phetchaburi Road in Ratchathewi, inside the GalileOasis project, a renovated commercial building that also holds a hotel, art space and theater. The room mixes brushed concrete, worn walls, vintage furniture and exposed beams with lots of green plants, and there is seating indoors and outside, with a gallery upstairs.

The menu is specialty coffee plus a few signature drinks and bakes. Favourites are the Matcha Coconut, the Black Lemon (lemonade topped with espresso) and the Piccolo latte, alongside cakes such as matcha cheesecake, basque cheesecake and lemon tart. Most drinks run about 100 to 180 baht, so a visit usually costs 101 to 250 baht per person.

It is a good daytime date for a slow coffee and a chat in a leafy, quiet corner of a busy district, and the art space gives you something to wander through after. Go on a weekday morning if you can, since weekends get crowded, and remember it closes mid-afternoon and all day Tuesday.
