Creative space with cafés and shops off Phetchaburi Road.
About GalileOasis
GalileOasis is a small arts compound in Ratchathewi, down Soi Rong Rian King Phet (Wat Phraya Yang alley) off Phetchaburi Road near Banthat Thong. It takes up 20 shophouses more than 40 years old, renovated by architect Visutr Virunanont with steel, glass and reused materials. Old wooden floors and raw walls remain, arranged around a leafy courtyard that feels like a quiet green pocket in a busy district.
It holds a gallery with free rotating exhibitions, a small theatre that young troupes rent for experimental shows, Piccolo Vicolo Cafe, a restaurant and a 19-room boutique hotel. At the cafe people order coffee, matcha, coconut drinks and cheesecake at modest prices. Theatre tickets cost a few hundred baht, for example 450 baht for a September 2026 show.
It is a calm, creative spot for a slow coffee date, a look around an exhibition and maybe an evening performance. Go on a weekday morning or afternoon for quiet, or on a weekend for pop-up markets. Time Out says it is closed Tuesdays.
