About Côte by Mauro Colagreco
Côte by Mauro Colagreco is the fine-dining restaurant on the second floor of Capella Bangkok, at 300/2 Charoen Krung Road. The dining room is bright and elegant, with panoramic views over the Chao Phraya River. Mauro Colagreco, the chef behind Mirazur, created the concept. Italian chef Davide Garavaglia, who trained at Mirazur, runs the kitchen.
The cooking is a modern take on French and Italian Riviera food, built on seasonal produce. Past dishes include local sea urchin with cauliflower, the Red Cliff seafood plate, French pigeon with beetroot and mulberries, and salt-crusted beetroot with caviar sauce. It holds two Michelin stars. Lunch has a shorter menu, and dinner brings the Carte Blanche tasting menu. The wine list gets strong praise.
The Michelin Guide lists it as good for a date night. It suits a birthday, an anniversary or any big occasion, when you want river views and a long tasting menu. Lunch is the cheaper way in and shows the river in daylight. Dinner feels more special. Dress smart casual.
