Capella Bangkok sits right on the Chao Phraya River, on the Charoen Krung side of Yan Nawa, next to the Four Seasons in the Chao Phraya Estate. It opened in 2020 and has only 101 rooms and villas, which keeps it quiet and personal for a hotel of this level.

Every room faces the river and has its own balcony, and some of the villas add a private jacuzzi. The service style is very hands-on: each stay comes with a personal “Culturist” who helps plan your time in the city. Downstairs are the Auriga Wellness spa and an infinity-edge pool that looks straight onto the river traffic.

Food is a big reason to come even if you don't stay. Côte by Mauro Colagreco serves Riviera-style cooking and holds two Michelin stars. Phra Nakhon does Thai and all-day dining on the terrace, Stella is the bar, and Kin is the coffee corner. It's an easy pick for an anniversary dinner, a slow afternoon tea by the water, or a one-night splurge.
