Vikarn Bangkok

Contemporary Thai tasting-menu restaurant off Sathu Pradit Road.
About Vikarn Bangkok
Vikarn Bangkok is a small, evening-only Thai restaurant on Soi Sathu Pradit 4 in Sathon. The name means night-time, and the theme is Bangkok nightlife. Behind a dark entrance, the room is done in dark and red tones. Downstairs there is an open kitchen with bar seats facing the chefs, and upstairs has private tables.
The food is modern Thai tasting menus that change with the seasons. Dishes are named after songs, and staff sing or dance as each course arrives. Past menus included crispy noodles with Hokkaido scallop, Chumphon crab taco and Thai wagyu tataki. Gourmet & Cuisine listed 4, 7 and 10 courses at ฿1,490++, ฿2,490++ and ฿3,490++. Some à la carte plates run ฿400 to ฿590.
It suits a birthday or anniversary when you want dinner to feel like a show. Book a seating ahead, and sit at the bar if you like watching the kitchen. Reviewers call the performances a little gimmicky but fun. Payment is by card or transfer only.
