Bread Street Kitchen & Bar

Gordon Ramsay's kitchen and bar in The EmSphere.
About Bread Street Kitchen & Bar
Bread Street Kitchen & Bar is Gordon Ramsay's first restaurant in Thailand, on the ground floor of Emsphere mall on Sukhumvit near Soi 24, a short skywalk from BTS Phrom Phong. It is part of his global Bread Street Kitchen group. The large room holds a restaurant, an open kitchen where you can watch the cooks, and a bar. Reviewers describe it as modern and casual, a step down from fine dining.
The menu is British and European all-day dining built around seasonal produce. The dish people come for is the Beef Wellington, which is meant for sharing and should be ordered ahead. Other favourites are spicy tuna tartare, seared scallops, roasted cod with lemon-caper sauce and sticky toffee pudding. Expect to pay about 500 to 1,000 baht a head, and much more if you order the Wellington or the Iberico pork chop.
This works well for a special-occasion date when you want a famous name without the formality of a tasting menu. Book ahead, and pre-order the Wellington if you plan to share it. You can make an evening of it with a drink at the bar first, then walk around Emsphere or EmQuartier afterwards.
