Siam Amazing Park

Theme and water park on the east side of Bangkok.
About Siam Amazing Park
Siam Amazing Park, still called Suan Siam by many locals, is a combined water park and amusement park on Suan Siam Road in Khan Na Yao, eastern Bangkok. It opened in 1980 as Thailand's first water park and covers roughly 100 to 120 acres. The water side centres on a huge artificial sea with a sandy beach, while the ride side has roller coasters, a drop tower and themed dinosaur and Africa areas.
A day here means splashing in the wave pool, riding the Speed Slide and Super Spiral, then moving over to thrill rides such as the Vortex suspended coaster, the 75-metre Giant Drop and the log flume. Online tickets for foreigners often include a buffet lunch and sell for around 22 US dollars on Klook and Trip.com, while Tripadvisor reviewers mention about 1,000 baht at the gate.
It works for a playful, active date if you both like rides and water, and it is inside Bangkok so easier to reach than parks further out. Go on a weekday soon after the 10 am opening, bring swimwear, and check before you go which rides are running, since several big rides have been listed as under maintenance and recent reviews complain about upkeep.
Why it works for a date
- Huge wave pool with sandy beach
- Vortex coaster and log flume are fun
- Cheaper when booked online
- Friendly staff and lifeguards
Good to be aware of
- Several major rides closed for maintenance
- Reviewers report ageing, poorly maintained facilities
- Water quality and changing rooms criticised
