Ploen Way Waffle House

Waffle café in Lat Krabang, well rated for sweet and savory waffles.
About Ploen Way Waffle House
Ploen Way Waffle House is a small café inside the Ploen Way complex in Lat Krabang, on the frontage road that runs beside the motorway near Suvarnabhumi Airport. It sits between the family-run Ploen Ploen Restaurant and the Ploen Pirom hotel. The entrance is easy to miss, but inside it is warm and wood-toned, with rattan chairs, large windows with white curtains, and a wooden terrace over a lake lined with reeds.
The kitchen makes homemade waffles from the owner's own recipe, both sweet and savory, such as caramelized banana chocolate, bacon cheese and an apricot, walnut and rosemary waffle. There are also fresh juices, yuzu sodas, coffee, tea, homemade pies and a few cocktails. Prices are modest: waffles run around 120 baht, drinks around 50 to 120 baht, and Wongnai lists about 101 to 250 baht per person.
It is a quiet, unhurried place where you can share two or three waffles by the water and listen to the birds, and it is rarely packed. Reviewers suggest coming on a weekday, or in the late afternoon when the light over the pond is softer and good for photos. It pairs well with an early dinner at the Thai restaurant next door.
